Take care of repairs. When buyers see something that needs repair, it makes them feel anxious. They wonder how much extra work owning your home will be for them.
Remove clutter from the property. It will make your home look larger. You may even want to remove a few items of furniture. Think about each room and the story it tells. Make sure the purpose of each room is clear. It can be confusing when bedrooms are made out as offices, as the buyer may not be able to picture that room as a bedroom. Each room should have a story to tell.
Focus on small changes instead of making major renovations. A fresh coat of paint is one of the easiest ways to spruce the place up, not to mention an affordable alternative.
